Bad day or good day

Today, I thought it was a bad day for me because there were many problems that happened to me this morning. First, I woke up so late, so I didn't do anything that i used to do, such as eating breakfast, Putting the wood into the fireplace, taking the garbage out. Then I left my house around 7:30 a.m. I went to my car and tried to open it, but I couldn't open it. I was so scared that i was going to be late for the school, and i did. Fortunately, my neighbor was around there cleaning her car, so i asked her for help.Then I had to take the ice off from my car. I spent time doing that for 30 minuts. When I arrived school, it was about 8:00 o'clock. I called pearl to tell Elaine that i was going to be late. When I got to the class, I was a little mad because some of my friend took my seat. So this morrning, I ended up sitting in the front. However, I am extremely happy today because I passed the writng test. I forgot everthing that happend to me this morning, even now i still have an awesome mood. I hope i have school tomorrow so i can take a placement test. Also, I feel so bad for some of my classmates who didn't pass the writing test. I want all of them to pass it....Thank you Elaine for helping and teaching me right from wrong. i mean( grammar)...

I messed up my essay today...terrible!!

Today, My classmates and I practiced the writing test in the class. First,The teacher gave us the essay topics and the booklets to write on. There were three essay topics. We needed to choose one and write about it. I chose the first one because I thought it was the easiest one for me to write about. However, I still had the problems with it. I didn't plan my writing really good at this time. There were various problems that I made on my paper , such as the orders, the ideas, the organizations, and the grammars. I expected that I was going to do pretty good on it, but i didn't. I messed up on my writing. I was so disappointed. I should done better than this. I had a really bad mood today. After I got home this afternoon, I have been studing a lot. On wednesday, I hope I do better than today. Thanks god! the essay that we wrote today was the sample one. If it was the real one, I didn't think I was going to pass it. Also, thank you for Elaine that gave us those sample essay topics to practice. It made me realrize that I need to think and plan carefully before writing the paper.

This semester is almost over...could u believe it!!!??

This semester is almost over. There is only nine days left. I'm so excited and cheerless at the same time. I'm so excited because I'm going to move on to the 4Th level, and I hope I will. However, I'm a little sad about that because I don't think I 'm going to have the same class with all my classmate again. I think I'm going to miss them a lot. Since I have been knowing them, they are all wonderful and fascinating. I will keep in touch with them even though we won't have the same class with each other anymore. However, I hope some of them have the same class with me. Also, we are going to have the writing test this wednesday. I'm a little bit stressful about that, and I think everyday does, too. However, I think we are going to be fine because we have been working and studying very hard since september. We just have to do our best in order to pass the test and move on. Finally, we sould have been grateful to Elaine and Marissa because they have been helping us a lot in this semester.

Angeina's pregnant again...

Angelina Jolie is a beautiful famous actress in Hollywood. She likes to adopt the children from other countries. She already adopted three kids from different countries , such as Vietnam, Africa, and Cambodia. She also has her own kids. Now, she totally has six children. She is the first actress who has a lot of children that I know. Recently, I just heard that Angelina is pregnant again. I was so surprised when I heard that. I didn't expect that she is going to pregnant again because she just gave birth to twins Viviene and Knox. I think she really loves the children that why she keeps getting pregnant. I'm still curious about that...I'm just wondering why she likes to get pregnant..????

Field trip at the planetarium in Manhattan...!!!

Yesterday, I went to a field trip in New York city with a club's professors and friends. I thought there were going to have a lot the people on this trip. However, there were only few people. I was so surprised. There were only 10 students and 3 or 4 teachers. We went to the planetarium by bus. The bus was very big and comfortable. we could sit wherever we wanted to sit because there were many space to sit. So my classmates and I all sat at the back of the bus. I sat next to kay. Litbeth, keyri, and Axel sat next to each other. Then the bus left the college around 2 :30 p:m. While the bus was moving, Kay and I were sleeping. We arrived at the planetarium about 3:50. After that, the teacher went to buy the tickets for the show. The show was around 4:30p:m. While we were waiting for the show, We were walking around the museum. When I walked around, i saw many different kinds of planets. Each planet, there was a scale next to it. When you stood on the scale, there was no gravity. I mean the gravity was a zero. About 4:30, we went to see the show. The name of the show was the comic collision.It was about the planet case. The show was very exciting and interesting. When I was sitting and watching the show, I felt like the chair was moving. Also, I felt like I was on the space going to the moon and platnets. The show was only 30 minute. It wasn't too long. I wanted to watch more than that. Then, we went to see the christmas tree. The bus driver dropped us somewhere near the christmas tree. The professor told us to walk around and had something to eat for 2 hours. And then we would meet up at the same place around 8:15p:m. Kay and I were walking aroung the city together. We were taking a lot of pictures. After that, we went to eat food. By the way,we had a really hard time to find a restaurant, because we went to the wrong area. However, we got something to eat. After we finished our dinner, we went back to the place that we were going to meet other people. While we were walking back, we saw a lot of restaurants, and they had a lot of seats. Kay and I were laughing about that. Oh before we went back to the bus, we went to starbuck and sitting there for 20 minute. Finally, we went back to the bus, and the bus took us to NCC. We arrived at NCC around 9:35p:m. It was extremely cold yesterday.However, I had a lot of fun. I think i had a cold today..cuz i feel crappy..

Who get the heart..Conversation Lab..

On Friday, I had a conversation Lab in room 307 with Lisbeth and other friends from different classes. In a conversation Lab, we were talking about the heart transplant. Heart transplant is when someone who die, but the heart is still working he or she can donate to others who need it in order to continue living.(maybe i am wrong, I don't know how to explain it).Our teacher gave us the articles about it first ,and then she read for us. After that, we needed to make a group of three people and discussed about the articles. We needed to pretend that we were the member of the heart tranplant surgery team. In the article, there were seven patients who desperately need a transplant. We needed to rank the patients from# 1 to# 7 who needed the heart more than others. Then we needed to give the reason why he or she should receive the heart more than others. So lisbeth and Jiyoen were my group. First, we read and discussed about the articles. Then we made the patient in order from #1 to # 7. After that, We told the teacher about the rank......Finally, we compared the answer with other groups and talked about it... This topic was a little bit scare because it was a serious stuff to talk about. I think the heart is very important to your life. If you don't have a heart, it mean you are a dead person.Heart is your soul. Heart also represent Love.

I enjoyed talking about this topic..I had leaned something new..

Finally, I finished with my speech..

Today I gave a speech to my class about my obsession. My obsession was about a beautiful place in Thailand. The name of the place was Doi Pui. I brought my pictures, poster,and map of thailand to show my classmates when I presented . I was the last person giving the speech of the class. I was so shy and nervous to talk in front of people.I was so afraid that I was going to ruin my speech while I was presenting. However, When I gave the speech to my class today, I completely felt comfortable and calm. I couldn't believe that I wasn't tremble a lot liked I used to be. When I was in high school, I was so timid. I couldn't talk or present anything in front of people. My Dad and my Mom always tell me that i need to have a self esteem in order to make my life easy. they always tell me that I am an intelligent girl. However, I just need to be more confident and be my self. Finally, I was so happy that everyone enjoyed and liked my speech today. My teacher and my friends also told me that I did pretty good .They all understood what I talkd about. I think I improve a lot...By the way,I'm so tired today..

little Traditional thai party tonight....

My house had a party tonight. It was actually Thai food party. There were just few Thai people came over to my house. One of us was Kay who was my classmate in NCC. She came around 8:00 o'clock. When she arrived at my house, I just finished my writing assignment. I spent like an hour to write the essay by using the vocabulary. I think it was hard for me because I wasn't sure that I used the vocabulary in the right place or not. So I was so frustrated about that. However, i was done. After that, I went to enjoy Thai food with Kay, my mom ,and my mom's friends. We ate a lot of food. My mom and others drank the alcohol a little bit, but i couldn't drink because i am under 21 year old.I am not old enough to drink. I also hate the smell of alcohol, especially beer. So i drank orange soda instead. While we were eating and talking, we were watching the new about Thailand. I felt like my house was in Thailand. And of course, we spoke Thai and Lao..actually I spoke Lao with my mom , but I spoke Thai with my mom's friends and Kay. So I spoke 2 language at the same time. Kay left my house around 10:00 o'clock because she needed to go back home to finish her HW. However, the party was still going. After Kay left, I went to my computer in order to post my blog. Then I just wrote about the party tonight. I had a lot of fun tonight because I saw some Thai people. I wish my mom will have a party like this again soon. I enjoy meeting Thai people. Also, I am so tired now..I'm going to sleep as soon as possible.

By the way, I feel so uncomfortable right now because I ate a lot.....

My leg is so painful.

I sprained my leg when I played the hockey with my cousins on thanksgiving day. when I played the hockey I wore the inline skates. While I was playing, I fell down many times. However, I couldn't feel anything until i woke up in the morning at the next day. Before I got up from the bed, I felt so much pain on my calf. I couldn't even move my left leg. When I got up from the bed, I tried to walk to the bathroom. However, I couldn't even walk out from my room. So I called my mom and told her to find the medicine for me. Then she gave me the medicine. I put the medicine around my calf. I feel so much better now, but I still can't walk like normal people. I hope i get well as soon as possible, so i can go to school. I miss Mrs. Elaine and all my friendss. I haven't seen and talked to them for 4 days. It seems like very long time.

Thanksgiving day!!

Yesterday was thanksgiving day. Most people in the United Stated celebrate thanksgiving on November 27 every year. So yesterday, I went to my Uncle's house to celebrate thanksgiving. Before we went there, my mom made some food to bring to my uncle's house because my mom and I couldn't eat turkey. We thought we were allergic of turkey. That's why we needed to bring extra food. At about 2.00 P.M., we went to my uncle's house. When we got there, I met all my relatives. They were all my Dad side. I have been knowing them since I have been here. They were very nice to me. All of them asked me about the college. Then I told them that i was doing good at school. they were all happy for me that I loved and enjoyed school. They also told me that I spoke English better than before.When they told me that I was extremely impressive. My uncle have 2 sons and 1 daughter. They are all young. However, I love to play with them. I played with the youngest one yesterday. She is absolutely adorable. Her name is Ashlyn. She is 5 year old. I danced with her all day long. I was so exhausted. My parents and I left my uncle'house around 7:15P.M. Before I left there, Ashlyn was so upset. She didn't want me to leave. She said to me that she wanted me to stay with her forever. She called me sister. She finally loved me. I told her that I would see her sometime when I have a free time. I gave her my cell phone munber. She was extremely cheerful. Finally, She gave me a big hug and kissed me on my cheek. I had a wonderful thanksgiving day.

Fern is still looking for a job......hopefully, she get a job soon

I have been looking for a job since I got my driver license. However, I still don't get one yet. I went to the mall last week to apply for the job. They all told me that they would call me for interview,but they never call or contact me back. Yesterday, I went to Century 21 near my house to apply for a job. when I got there, I asked the employee where could I apply for a job. She gave me a direction how to get to the office. When I arrived to the office, there were five people sitting in the office who were waiting to fill out the application.Then the manager gave me the application to fill out. After I filled it out, there were some math problems to do on the last page. I was so afraid that I couldn't do it. Also, I knew that we couldn't use the calculator. So I just solved the math problems on the paper and answers the questions. It wasn't so bad. I mean it was pretty easy, but you needed to understand the problems in order to solve them.Today, I also went to Friday restaurant to apply for a job. However, the employees told me that they didn't have the application form left. I needed to come back tomorrow around affernoon for application.

Dating customs in my country...listening lab!!

Dating custom is very important and serious issues in my country, especially because parents want to get involve with that. Most of people in my country start dating when they are around 20 or older, but I'm not quiet sure about this information, though. when people have a date , they usually go to their houses or some restaurants. If they go to their houses, they will visit their parents and bring something for their parents, such as food, fruits, Souvenirs etc.. Then the parents will get to know them and invite them for dinner. After that, they will start to know each other. However, some of parents won't like some of them because of families backgrounds and education issues. Most parents in my country want their children to have a good husband or wives because they can take care of their children in the future. I think most people in my country can be alone on a date, but they usually tell their parents when they go out. In addition, dating in my country is totally different from the U.S. In here you can kiss each other in publice places, However, in my countrty if people are doing that in publice places , it will be strange for other people around them. I have no reason for that..it's just traditional.

we had so much fun at the Karaoke showcase!!!

My class and I went to the building K to participate the international karaoke showcase today . There were many people there and It was very crowd.I think most of them were from LINCC program. When I got there, I met some of my friends from other classes that I haven't met them for so long. I also made some new friends. At the karaoke, there were also some food to purchase, such as wrap, cookies, and coffee etc..Before the karaoke was started, I went to buy some cookies. It was very cheap. It just one dollar for each. Then the karaoke was started. There were many students who were waiting to sing. Some of them were my classmates and some of them were my other class friends. Keyry and kelsey were my classmates. They did really good job and other did ,too.I liked all of the songs that they sang. However, My favorite karaoke was "It's my Life". Harry was the singer. He was one of my friend,but he wasn't in LINCC program anymore. I didn't know that he had a really good voice until I heard he sang the song today. Finally, the last show was the teachers performance. All the LINCC program teachers were singing the karaoke together..The name of the karaoke was we are family..I guess, but I'm not quite sure about that. Anyway, I loved it ..I had such a wonderful happy time today. Also, I hope all my friends and my professors had a great time, too.

Today is such a busy day ever..isn't it??? Maybe not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to school regularly today. Elaine said that we were going to watch the movie about the crime today. I was so excited and interested about it. However, my teacher said that we needed to give some of my classmates do the presentation about their obsession first. It was going to be 2 people today but then one of them was absent. So there was only one person did it. He talked about the island in his country, Ecuador. While he was presenting his project, he was also showing the pictures about the places. It was very beautiful and fascinating. There were many different kinds of Animals there, such as turtles , seals, penguins, etc..Then Elaine gave us back the homework sheets and we needed to find a partner to compare or check the answers with the partner that our answers were the same or not. So pearl was my partner because she sat next to me and also she was my close friend. After we finished it, Elaine said we needed to go over it together. After we went over it together, she gave us the summary and characters of the movie. Several minutes later, she gave us the break about 20 minute and we needed to come back on time. While we had the break, I was reading some magazine with some of my friends. After the break, Elaine showed us the movie..however we didn't finish the movie because we had to go to International Student Panel. We went there with Marissa and her class because our teacher needed to go somewhere and she would follow us later. When We got there, there were many people. Most of them were LINCC program students. There were 8 speakers who were giving the information about their lives in the U.S. They were from different countries, such as China, India, Pakistan, Elsavador, New York, etc..I couldn't remember all of them. Anyway, Most of them had the same experiences and situations liked me. I remember when I was here first time. We all had a hard time to learn English. Oh! there also had food sale. I bought brownie and salad wrap. It was fine..i love brownie. At about 12.15 p.m., I had an appointment at the writing center. .I walked there it took me about 10 minute to get there. When I arrived there, I told the people that worked there it was my first time. The instructor told me to filled out my information. Then She told me that i had only 20 minute left because I was late about 15 minute. After that, I walked to another instructor she sat at the back of the room. She was a very nice and kind person. I showed her my old writing that i had the problems with. She explained and helped me figure out about the problems and troubles that I had. 20 minutes later, I went home. Before I went home, I went to supermarket to buy something for my mom because she called me to get something for her. At about 3:00 p.m., I arrived home. I was so exhausted and weak today. However, I had so much fun today. Are you guys have so much today too?

Fern completely loves to read the magazines now!!

Now,I read the magazines almost everyday because my father brings them from the airport for me everyday. My dad is a mechanic at JFK airport.He works for United Airline. He has to check the airplanes everyday after the passenger get out. So every time he does it, he always finds some magazines that the passenger had left them. And he knows that I like and enjoy to read them.He told me that instead of threw them in the garbage he would bring them for me. When I came here first time, I didn't really interested about it because I didn't know any movie stars. I didn't even know what was the Hollywood was. But now, I know almost everyone in Hollywood. My favorite movie star was Lindsay Lohan but now I didn't like her anymore. I don't like the ways she acts because She didn't respect her parents at all. Now, I like Miley Cyrus. I like her because I always watch her shows at the Disney Chanel. Also, she is a young pretty, smart, and famous girl. In fact, I like to read the magazine because I want to practice reading English. I think it will help me to improve my English if i keep reading it. There are many different kinds of vocabularies that I have ever seen. When I didn't know the words I always find them in the Dictionary. I think it is a good way to learn English too. Also,I like to entertain myself all the time. Finally, it is freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...we all love free things..right???

My name is Pistawan Kongsrima. I'm a college student from Nassau Community college. My class have been talking and learning about your court case since on Monday. Our teacher gave us the articles about your issues, and we discussed about it in class. After I learned about your life, I was so sorrowful and happy for you at the same time. I couldn't believe that you were in prison for 17 years. It was so long. If I am you, I will be die. My class and I went to listen to your speech at the NCC auditorium today. After I heard your speech, I was so surprised and interested about it. I can see that you are such a courageous man. You always fight for the right things and never give up what you want to do. I think your parents would be proud of you even though they already passed on. Finally, you were released from prison. I hope you enjoy your life and make your dream become true. If you become a lawyer, I think you will help a lot of innocent people. There are many innocent people who are wrongly accused of crime that they didn't do it. I hope you can help them and you will. Eventually, I'm glad to know about your life. Your life is so interested and inspired.

I have a day off today...veterans day!!

I have no school today because of veterans day. However, I still woke up early because my mom told me that I had to clean the refrigerator this morning. Also, I used to woke up early on the week days. Then my parents woke up around 9 o'clock. I made them the breakfasts. While we were eating the breakfast, my mom told me that I had to go find a job in Boardway mall today. After that, I went on internet to check out my facebook. One of my friend wrote on my facebook. She told me that she lived two blocks away from my house. I was so surprised and unbelieveable when I heard that. Also, today is her birthday. She didn't plan to do anything on her birthday, so she invited me to have dinner with her tonight. I told her that I wanted to, however I couldn't do it because I had to go home and had dinner with my parent tonight. So i invited her to have dinner with me and my parents tonight and she said yes. So I went to pick her up at Dunkin Donut..and we went to the mall. When we got into the mall , we were walking around and asked for the application form. I got five applications of different stores. I told all of them that I would be back later. Finally, my friend and I went home and had dinner together....

I love all my classmates...

I have been knowing all my classmate since September. They are from different countries, such as India, China, France, Spain, South America, Korea, Thailand, etc. They are all wonderful and fascinating people. Most of them graduated high school from the US, but some of them just moved from their countries.We all speak different languages. However, when we are in the classroom, we need to speak only English. We can't speak any other languages else. We always work in a group, so we learn many different things from each other. We also share different experiences and backgrounds from our hometowns. When we have the problems or get any troubles, we always help each other. I have so much fun to be with them. They make me laugh all the time. Some of them think that i am a crazy and funny person. I don't mind when they say that to me because I know that they are just joking. Anyways, I love all of them even though they love me or not.

Eventually, Obama wins!

Finally, Obama wins the election. I am extremely excited and happy for him. He is going to be the first African American President in history. I think he is highly intelligent and completely successful. I hope he will fix all the problems in the US especially, about the economy. Now, the economy in the United States is really terrible and crazy. Many people lose their job. Also, I hope that all the American people like and support him. I wish he will make our country to become a better place. I am a fan of Obama ,and I hope everyone does too....

I'm extremely happy because I got the driver licence now

I went to take a road test at Wantagh today. First, my parent went to pick me up about 12:30 P.M. at school. And then when we got home, I had my lunch. I was so hungry because I didn't eat anything since in the morning. After that, the instructor had come who was going to take me to the road test.His name is Jack. He was very nice teacher. Then I drove to Wantagh. I had an one hour driving lesson . He made me drove around the neighborhood and the test area. He told me to do a parallel parking a lot. It's about 2:30P.M , the instructor took me to the test place. When I got there, I was so nervous. I was so scary that i wasn't going to pass it again. However, the teacher kept telling me that i could do it and i would pass it. He told me to be normal and calm. Several minutes later, the instructor got into the car. She told me that we were going to do right turn, left turn , three point turn, and parallel parking. After that, she made me drove around. While I was driving a car I was so timorous, but I kept it inside. Finally, we got back to test place. She gave me a temporary driver licence. She told me to sign my name on a paper. I couldn't even do it because my hand was shaking. I couldn't believe that i passed it.I was extremely happy and joyful. I can't wait to drive to school tomorrow. It is going to be a first day driving to school by myself. I am so excited...

I won't give up..I will do it!!!!!!!

I went to take a road test for two times already, but I didn't pass any of them. I was so upset about it. However, I won't give up. My Father has been teaching me driving since I was in 12 grade. I also took a driver ed in high school. He told me I was driving fine. I had no problem when I was driving with him. However, when I went to take a road test, I was so nervous and scared , so I made a lot of mistakes. And then I didn't pass it.....I felt very terrible and embarassed about it.

Next time , when I'm going to take a road test again, I won't tell anybody. Even though, they are my friendsss. I will keep it in a secret. After I pass my road test, I will tell them about it....

I can't wait to drive car soon....

Little Party at home....!

After the class ended, I went home with my Thai friend. She is my classmate. Her name is kay. She is very cute and kind person. I told my mother about her a lot. My mother met her one time already. Then My mother told me to invite her to have lunch together today. My mother also invited her friend too. My friend and I arrived home about 12: 40 P.M. My father also stayed home today. when we got home, my mother was still making food. while my mother was cooking food, my friend kay was talking to my father about the election and history stuff. After that, My mother went to pick her friend up with kay. Several minutes later, they all arrived home. My mother friend has a daughter. Her name is Sarah. She is 4 years old. She is very cute. I haven't seen her for so long. She grows up a lot. I played with her all day long. while I was playing with Sarah, my mother and her friends were talking together and also cooking food. Half hours later, we all ate food together. while we were eating food, we were talking about our countries. We all missed our hometowns especially..me.Food was so delicious. We all loved the food that my mom made today. After that, my friend needed to leave early because she needed to go work at Thai restaurant around 4 O'clock. However..My mom and her friend continued talking together.
While they were talking together, I and Sarah were watching movie(Mulun) in my room.
Finally, Sarah's father came to pick her and her mother up about 5:50P.M.......I was so tired today.....I have to do some HWs and study tooo...

First day with Elaine....!

The second session class is started today. We have a new professor. Her name is Elaine. She is a very nice and kind person. I am so excited and interested to study with her. Today, when I got to the class, she was talking about the class's policies. And then she gave us the writing assignment about our lives. We needed to talking about our lives in our own countries until now in the United States. I wrote it for four pages. Several minutes later, she collected it and then she gave us a break for 15 minutes. While we had a break, i went to buy a hot chocolate with my friend down stair. It was raining outside and also very cold. After the break, Elaine and we were talking about the election in different countries. We needed to answers the questions about presidential elections in our countries. She put us in a group. My country doesn't have a president, so i didn't answer any questions. After that, we discussed the answer from different countries. I had so much fun about this stuff. Some of them were so surprised to me. I didn't even know about it before. After that, we did the dictation about the election day in the USA. We needed to listen to the radio and filled in the blanks. She played it for two times. Finally, she gave us the homework.......I love it...! I had so much fun today..........

A fun day...in NYC with my friends!!!!!

I went to Manhattan with my friends on Friday. First, I met two of them at the Roosevelt field at 10 o'clock. And then we went to other friend's house at the carplace. Her house was not too far from the train station. After we picked her up, we went to the train station. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the parking space. We had driven around the train station and neighborhood for 15 minutes. We were also so late. Finally, we found one...It was in front of someones house. Then we walked to the train station. while we were walking to the train station, the train was coming. Time we got there, the train already left. We missed the train. The next train was 11:40 a.m. After we bought the ticket, we went back to jiyoen's house and had some coffee.
After that, we walked back to the train station. And then the train had come and we all got on.
While we were on the train, we were talking and taking a lot of pictures..when we arrived at the NYC, we were all hungry especially me. I was so hungry. We had decided to go to Vietnamese restaurant. It was first time that i went to Vietnamese restaurant. I loved all the food. It was so delicious. After that, we went shopping around Manhattan. The city was so busy.There were many people walking around. I was so confused. While we were were shopping, we were also taking some pictures. All of us loved to take the photos especially my friends. About 5 o'clock we were all hungry again. I told my friend that i wanted to see time square. Since i have been here, I have never been to time square. So then we had decided that we were going to Starbucks at time square. It was very pretty. eventually, we took the subway to the train station. we all got on at different train, so we had said good bye at the train station.

Mrs. Marissa is a wonderful teacher..

I have been knowing Mrs. Marissa for two months. I think she is very nice and kind professor. She always helps me and all my friends in class. All of us always have the problems with writing especially grammar. Writing is the most difficult part of our English. So we are writing the paper almost everyday. When I have the problems,I always ask her and she always helps me. I think my English is improvement a lot since she have taught me. Finally, the first session is over. She is going to leave us. I can't believe it, but we need to accept that. Anyway she is going to teach at next store. I still can talk to her.
And then We are going to have a new teacher. Her name is Elain. I'm so excited and interested to study with her. I think she is very good professor...

I had so much fun in the class today...terrific

Today is October 22, 2008. Mrs. Marissa was absent, so we had a substitute teacher. He was very nice,fascinating , funny and terrific. He was also a little bit strict. Today,We were talking about men and women who were more talkative than others. First, the teacher was explaining about the lesson and then he put us in groups of three or four per group. After that, we needed to discuss and answer the questions.While we were working, he was also walking around and checking our answer that was right or wrong. If we did wrong, he would tell us that it was wrong and we needed to fix it. After we finished answer the question, we had to find the definition of the vocabulary. About 10 o'clock, we had a break about 15 minute. I went to buy the hot chocolate with my friend at the store and then we came back to the class. I was so hungry. I didn't eat anything since in the morning. I planed to eat my cereal and hot chocolate in class. But then the teacher said we couldn't eat anything in class. we needed to finish our snack outside first and then we can come to the class. So i just put it away...I just drank my hot chocolate. After the break, we used the North Star book. We were learning about Separated by the same Language. We did some exercises in the book. Finally, we did the Dictation thing. we needed to write the correct word in the blank space while we were listening to the dictation on the radio.

oh my god....I had so much fun today....He was a talkative man I have ever seen..

I was so surprised....when i saw my classmate 2 times in different places.

I was so surprised today. I had met my classmate for two times in different places. First, I met her on the bus N49. She sat with her mother. I said hello to her and she did too. Then we got off from the bus at the same time. After that, we waited for another bus. While we were waiting we were talking about our towns. She was a little bit shy. She wasn't talking very much. However, I made her talk a lot. I couldn't stop talking when i saw some of my friends. She was very nice though. I liked her. And then we got to school. About 2:23 P.M, I took the bus N16 to Hemstead terminal. I got off there. Then I just was walking a round the station. While i was walking around, I saw her again. After that, I went to talk to her. She told me that she just got back from the Mall. She went by herself. She told me that she was very tired. she just wanted to go home and take a nap. We were waiting for the same bus. while we were waiting, we were talking about our school and classmates. I had so much fun when I talked to her even though I didn't know her very well. Anyway she is going to be my best friend soon....because i love to talk. I always tell her to smile, and she always does it. She is so cute.

I am very sick..I have a bad cold

I don't feel very well this weekend. I have a terrible cold and i still have it now. I think i get that cold from my parents because both of them are still sick. On Saturday, I was stay home all day. I didn't go anywhere or do anything. Actually, I was studying some grammar and watching television. After that, I took the medicines and went to sleep all day. It was very bad cold. I felt terrible. On Sunday, I felt a little bit better when i got up. However, i still have a cold. Then I ate my breakfast. While i was eating my breakfast I was also watching some cartoons show. After that, I took the medicine and went to take a nap all day long. I will go to school tomorrow even though I am sick. Oh my god I'm such a good student ever...!!!

I had so much fun with my friends at the MAll..after school on Friday.

I went shopping with my friends at the broadway mall yesterday. They were my high school friends. I haven't seen them for so long. Even though, some of them have the same college with me. Two of them are studying in Nassau Community college. They are twin. Both of them wanted to be a history teacher and one of them is studying in upstate. Her name is Stephanie Yu. She wanted to study about English or something. She told me that her school was so interesting and a little bit difficult. She made lots of friends. She also told me that she didn't like some of her roommate becausee she acted so weird and mad. We were walking around the mall for 3 hours. While we were walking around, we were talking about our experiences in college. Several hours laters, we were all hungry. Then we went to the food court. I ate rice. I was so hungry because i didn't eat anything since aftersoon. while we were eating I saw other high school friends. they came to say hello to us. They still looked the same. we asked them about their colleges. Everybody was okay. And then we all said good bye to each other. Finally, it 's about 6:30 i called my dad to pick me up. He told me to wait for him until 7 o'clock. while, i was waiting for my dad i called my friend. I had so much fun. I will hang out with them again. I miss them.

Fern's biography!

My name is Pistawan Kongsrima. My nickname is fern. Most of my friends and my family call me fern because it is easier than call me Pistawan. I also love it when they call me fern. I came from Thailand. I have been here for three and a half years. When I was in Thailand I didn't live with my parents. My parents had been divorced when I was a baby. I lived with my oldest aunt and my two little cousins. I loved them(nieces) a lot because I had raised them when they were babies.My mother lived in Bangkok, the city of Thailand. she worked there. She was a hairdresser. However, I had never seen my real father. My mom told me that he was very bad father. He didn't care about her and me either. When i was a young girl, I always asked my mom about him. I also wanted to see his pictures, but she had never showed me his pictures because she wanted to forget about him. I felt so bad about that. Several years later, my mother had met one man. He was an American man. He was very nice to my Mom. When I knew about it I was so happy with her, so she could started her new life again. First time, I had met him i was so frightened because I had no idea who he was ,and where he was from? I also didn't understand what he was talking about. Two years later, My mom got married with him. And then, He took my mom to the USA first. After two years, both of them came to Thailand and took me to America. So now, I live in Hicksville with my parents. I have no brother or sister. I am an only child. I can speak four languages such as Thai , English, Lao, a little bit Chinese and little bit Spanish and i will keep study all that. I graduated from Hicksville high school. When i was in High School i didn't have a lot friends until i was a senior. The problem was just English language. I could speak English but it wasn't very well. I have been studying a lot. However, it was still hard and tough for me. Now, I'm going to Nassau Community college. I have met lots of cool friends. They are very nice and fascinating. but some of them a little bit crazy and droll(funny). I'm just kidding okay.Anyway, I love all of them and i hope they love me too?? I also like my professor. Her name is Mrs. Marisa. She is very kind and cheerful person. I am so joyful when I'm with her.(If i spell your name wrong I'm so sorry okay Mrs. Marisa) I like to go to school a lot because when i stay home i was so lonely. I have many hobbies that i always do such as playing sports, listening to music, reading the books, and talking with friend online. My favorite food is Thai food and Italian food. Finally, I want to be a nurse practitioner because I want to help and cure sick people.I will make my dream become through. I 'm going to study hard and hard. I won't give up even though, I have many problems or any troubles. I will keep doing it. I'm promise...
